First Cleveland Clinic London outpatient centre opens

Cleveland Clinic London’s Portland Place Outpatient Centre has opened and is now treating patients.

The six-floor facility, a 28,000-square-foot building with 17 consultation rooms, is the first Cleveland Clinic London location to accept patients.

It offers private GP appointments, executive health assessments and a variety of outpatient services including diagnostics.

Specialties include heart, vascular, thoracic, digestive disease, neurosciences, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, rheumatology, ENT and urology.

Cleveland Clinic London’s main hospital in central London, with 184 inpatient beds, 29 ICU beds and eight operating rooms is due to open in early 2022.

Patients needing surgery before then are being treated elsewhere under arrangements made with other independent sector providers.

Dr Brian Donley, Cleveland Clinic London chief executive, said: ‘We are incredibly excited to start delivering our doctor-led model of care to patients for the first time in the UK.

‘Cleveland Clinic puts patients at the centre of care, treated by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, supported by cutting-edge technology. We will continue Cleveland Clinic’s 100- year legacy of research and education and share that knowledge with our colleagues around the globe.’

Appointments are available from 8am to 8pm during the week and 8am to 2pm on Saturdays.
