Consultants delisted ‘for no reason’

Increasing numbers of consultants have been ‘delisted’ by the major private medical insurers in the last year, according to the chairman of the Independent Doctors Feder­ation’s (IDF) specialist committee.

Dr Sean Preston said doctors were often given no warning and little transparency of the underlying process.
