Check private data before publication

Private consultants are being asked to check data on the number of procedures they do and typical lengths of stay before it is published on an official public website.

The information compiled by the Private Healthcare Inform­ation Network (PHIN) is the first step in it publishing a range of performance measures to help patients make informed choices, as required by the Competition and Markets Authority following its private healthcare inquiry.
