Dilemma 1

Do I share child’s info with father?

Q I have been seeing a nine-year-old child in the presence of her mother for the investigation of possible absence seizures.

The father has written requesting information about the investigations the child is having and the potential diagnoses and treatment.

He says he has parental responsibility.

I then discussed the request with the child’s mother and she told me that they were never married; they went through an acrimonious separation some years previously and she does not want me to share any information with the father.  

What should I do?
