London Bridge unit gets top HR award

HCA’s CMA-threatened London Bridge Hospital has won the Investors in People gold standard, joining the top 3% of accredited organisations across the UK.

It first achieved IIP status – the leading accreditation for business improvement through people management – in 1999. After earning silver status in 2011, the HR team decided to go for gold.

The rigorous assessment process involved interviews with over 80 randomly-selected employees and the hospital was assessed against nearly 200 standards.

Investors in People head Paul Devoy said: ‘Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice and demonstrates a commitment to staff development. London Bridge Hospital should be extremely proud of their achievement.’
